  1. 1. Wash all fresh produce thoroughly under running water to remove dirt and other contaminants. 2. Cooking Pasta. Heat water to a rolling boil. Slowly add macaroni. Stir constantly until water boils again. Cook 8 minutes or until al dente, stirring occasionally. DO NOT OVERCOOK. Drain and rinse. 3. Saute Onions. Heat oil over medium heat and saute the chopped onions until translucent and tender. 4. Add salsa, crushed red pepper, chili powder and granulated garlic and simmer for 20 minutes. 5. Drain and rinse the corn. Combine the simmered mixture, corn, kidney beans and cooked macaroni together and simmer another 20 minutes.
